Curriculum information

Curriculum design of the Department is focused on the two core fields: Financial techngology (FinTech)management and investment strategy management. The curriculum emphasizes on comprehensive curricular planning, in order to accommodate future professional needs in the business and finance sectors. Furthermore, in order to provide students with a curriculum that offers diverse learning and balance between theory and practice, as well as enhance industry-academic collaboration, corporate directors are invited to give speech or to hold internship classes on business and finance. At the same time, integrated courses on business and finance decision-making and information technology applications as well as intensive foreign language training are offered,in hopes to nurture business and finance personnel who have well-rounded abilities.

Financial technology management and investment management are the primary focuses in instruction:
 
       (1)Financial technology management curriculum
      
Fintech is about how contemporary information technologies are upsetting the financial services industry. FinTech connects the economic activities and technology to create the business model innovation in the financial sector. Such innovation can change existing industry structures and break industry boundaries, reshape strategic disintermediation, alter how corporations create and deliver products and services, create significant privacy, challenges of regulatory and law-enforcement, provide new entrances for entrepreneurship, and kernel opportunities for wide growth. Fintech, incorporating a range of industry innovations like the blockchain, digital advisory and trading systems, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, peer-to-peer lending, equity crowdfunding and online and mobile banking.
 
Fintech curriculum primarily explores the revolution of information technology and its impacts on the formation and operations of financial markets, financial regulations .This curriculum also introduces the various development and applications of noval financial instrument , as well as the blockchain, digital advisory and trading systems, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, peer-to-peer lending, equity crowdfunding and online and mobile banking.
 
       (2)Investment management curriculum
      
Investigates how individuals and corporations can select optimal investment portfolios, and investment analysis and investment strategies from the core of this curriculum. In this field, professional courses cover the follow eight courses: macroeconomics, fixed income securities, futures and options, mutual fund management, personal financial management, investment portfolio analysis, behavioral finance, and investment managementtopics.
